Who We Are
Saheliya is a specialist mental health and well-being support organisation for black and minority ethnic (BME) women and girls (12+) in Scotland. Our staff are from a variety of different cultures and ethnic backgrounds and we all have an understanding of how race, gender and culture affects the mental well-being of black and minority ethnic women and girls.
What We Offer
We provide counselling, complementary therapies, practical and emotional support, youth and group work. We deliver a wide range of learning activities to support resilience, recovery, employment and integration. We have childcare for under 7’s. We work closely with mainstream agencies to help make their services more accessible for our service users.
To promote mental well-being by combating the effects of discrimination and abuse, reducing the stigma of mental health, and improving access to mainstream services.
