Saheliya Counselling Service has a vacancy for a Clinical Supervisor to facilitate group supervision for our team of diploma-qualified counsellors who themselves have personal experience and knowledge of black and minority ethnic communities.

Key requirements include:

  • BACP or UKCP counsellor accreditation
  • Have training as a supervisor
  • Diploma/MA in Counselling/Psychotherapy
  • Formal training qualification in clinical supervision

It is a requirement that the Clinical Supervisor holds a clinical supervision qualification of Diploma standard.

We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced *FEMALE practitioner who can demonstrate

  • Deep understanding of and connection with the issues lived by BME women, their families and their communities,
  • Clear commitment to equal opportunities, to the valuing and respect of difference and diversity, and an
  • Interest in developing and advancing racially and culturally aware therapeutic practice.
  • Who can manage the process in a structured, insightful way, creating a trusting, appropriately challenging and boundaried environment that gives workers the opportunity to bring clinical issues to supervision openly and with confidence.

A criminal record check (DBS) and reference checks will be carried out.

Time commitment- Thursday afternoon fortnightly
